Recently, Russian president, Vladimir Putin has declared that they will resume it power and glory to put back aircraft industry back on track.
After 16 years collapsed of Soviet Union in 1991, Russian nowadays has put extra effort to concentrate on their core industry of making aircraft. This effort taken in order to diversified the national income. Putin has order all of Russian aircraft manufacturer to cooperate and setup a United Aviation Corporation (UAC) with injected capital of US$696.6 million (RM2.4 bilion).
Fighter aircraft such MIG-29 and Sukhoi-30 is the most successful military product made by Russian company. Malaysia is one of the customer. These aircraft has contributed about US$5 billion (RM 17.4 billion) in export. Indonesia has signed a contract to purchase six Sukhoi aircrafts at cost of US$ 300 million (RM1 billion).
